Polar Pain

Experience firsthand the struggles a polar bear family must go through largely due to human involvement and climate change.  

A Polar Bear family in a barren world, Summer has reached the artic and a polar bear family has come out of hibernation. The resounding heat coming from the sun has pushed the sheet of ice back further than ever. This means the family have less hunting grounds to feed their rumbling belly’s that haven't eaten for months. Traverse the vast emptiness of the artic and discover for yourself how hard life is for these polar bears and the impact we have had on their lives.

An informative narrative driven walking simulator. The game is emotional but accurate to what happens in a place on Earth that the majority of humans will never set foot on.  

Players will have to navigate an empty white land using the polar bear’s extraordinary sense of smell to guide them to food. Your job is to keep them from starvation which sounds easy but in this vastly empty land it is near impossible. Discover how we as humans have made their lives so miserably hard and how we are pushing them to extinction. The mother bear is trying to teach her children life lessons, so they can survive by themselves one day and use the skills and techniques she teaches them.
