Inspector

You play as Jeremy Hickens, a husband and father to a daughter. Jeremy has just arrived back home and discovers a dead body on the floor... There is no one in the house... Inspect the room and see if you can uncover the dark truth  behind the Hickens family. 

The project is a 3D puzzle game based just in a single room. The game is supported with a strong and compelling narrative. The player must interact with objects in the room to uncover the story. 

This was a mostly solo project so I done the level design and story myself. As for the coding I received a lot of help from Jasmine Carcangui.  The art and assets were not me. Some of the story based assets I designed on photoshop and using online templates such as the bank statement and TV guide. 

I learnt a valuable lesson on this project. I spent such a long time designing the interior and even more on the exterior so much that the narrative did take a hit. With the deadline approaching I couldn't spend as long as I would have liked on the story of the game. I need to plan better before setting out such a detailed project and need to set in house deadlines for how long I can be focusing on just one thing.
